NOURA ATELIER
How to Start an Abaya Brand: Wholesale & Private Label Guide
Starting an abaya or modest-fashion brand involves more than choosing products. You need a clear customer, suitable designs and fabrics, consistent sizing, branding, packaging and a reliable production process.
1. Decide who you want to sell to
Start by defining your customer. You may be building for a local boutique, an online modest-wear store, a new private label or an existing fashion business adding abayas to its range.
2. Choose your design direction
Decide whether your collection will focus on classic black abayas, coloured pieces, occasion wear, embroidery, handwork, simple everyday designs or a mix. A focused first collection is usually easier to present and market clearly.
3. Select fabrics and finishes
Fabric choice affects the look, drape, comfort and final cost. Details such as embroidery, handwork, trims, labels and packaging should also be decided before production.
4. Prepare your branding
Your brand identity may include garment labels, hang tags, care labels, packaging and other branded details. Keeping these elements consistent helps the finished collection feel professional.
5. Sample before bulk production
Sampling allows you to check the silhouette, fabric, finishing, measurements and branding before moving to a larger production quantity.
6. Plan your quantity and budget
Noura Atelier wholesale production is quoted according to the material, design, quantity, branding and finishing required. We do not use one fixed wholesale price list because each project can be different. Our wholesale MOQ is 25 pieces.
