How to Care for Your Abaya

Wash gently
For suitable washable abayas, use a gentle method and avoid harsh detergents. Strong washing cycles can affect drape, trims and delicate details.
Take extra care with embellishment
Abayas with beadwork, stones, lace, brooches or handwork should be handled carefully. Avoid rubbing or pulling decorated areas, and use professional cleaning when the design requires it.
Dry and store properly
Avoid unnecessary high heat. Let the garment dry in a way that protects its shape and store it on a suitable hanger. Keep embellished pieces from pressing against rough surfaces that could catch the detailing.
Before ironing or steaming
Use a suitable temperature for the fabric and avoid direct high heat on stones, lace, embroidery or decorative trims. When in doubt, steam gently from a safe distance or use professional care.
